Membership Agreement
Last updated: 25 September 2026. This is the contract for the recurring monthly memberships (Club Four, Club Eight, Club Twelve, and Founding Twelve where applicable). Read it before you buy. When you check "I have read and agree" at checkout, you are entering this contract.
Structure. Three-month minimum initial term, then continues month to month until cancelled. Charged monthly to the card on file. PSC party: Pilates Social Club LLC, 91 Washington Street, New York NY 10006. Member party: The individual named on the account.
2.1 Statutory notices
Three day cancellation right: You, the buyer, may cancel this agreement at any time before midnight of the third business day after the date you receive a copy of this agreement. If you cancel within this period, you will receive a full refund of all money paid, without penalty. To cancel, use the cancellation link in your account at pilatesocialclub.com, email info@pilatesocialclub.com, or deliver a written notice to Pilates Social Club LLC, 91 Washington Street, New York NY 10006.
Additional cancellation rights: If you die, this agreement ends and any unused portion is refunded to your estate. If you become permanently or temporarily disabled for more than three months (with a physician's certification), you may cancel. If you move more than twenty-five miles from any Pilates Social Club facility, you may cancel. If any Pilates Social Club facility closes or stops offering the contracted services, you may cancel. If you cancel for any of these reasons, Pilates Social Club will refund you the unused part of the price (less the value of services used at drop-in rate and actual expenses reasonably incurred) within ten business days of receiving written notice and, where applicable, a physician's certification or proof of move.
Pilates Social Club LLC has filed security with the New York Department of State in the amount required by General Business Law section 622-a for the benefit of its members. Information about this filing is available on request from info@pilatesocialclub.com.
2.2 The plan and the price
Your plan, the number of classes it includes per month, and the price are shown on the checkout page and repeated in the order confirmation email. Prices are in US dollars and exclusive of any applicable sales or use tax, which will be added if required by law. As of the date of publication our tiers are Club Four (4 classes/month, $125), Club Eight (8 classes/month, $230) and Club Twelve (12 classes/month, $335). Classes are usable at any PSC NYC studio and at any class format we offer, subject to availability.
2.3 Term and renewal
Your minimum initial term is three months, beginning on the date you purchase. After the initial term, the agreement continues month to month, renewing on the same day of each month, until you cancel as described in section 2.6. Each renewal is a new one-month term at the price then in effect for your plan under section 2.13. Under section 527-a of the New York General Business Law we obtained your affirmative consent to auto-renewal at the point of sale, and we retain a record of that consent.
2.4 What you get each month
Your monthly credits are added to your account on the day of billing and are valid until the next billing date only. Unused credits do not roll over to the next month and are not refundable. This is disclosed here, on the pricing page, at checkout, and in the receipt.
2.5 Booking and studio rules
Your use of your credits, no-show rules, late arrival and freeze rights are set out in the Booking, Cancellation and Studio Policies, which are part of this agreement. Your conduct in the studios is subject to the Community Conduct and Anti-Harassment Policy.
2.6 How you cancel
You may cancel your membership at any time, for any reason, in either of the following ways: (a) using the "Cancel my membership" link in your account at pilatesocialclub.com, which is the same channel through which you signed up; or (b) emailing info@pilatesocialclub.com from the address on your account. Cancellation is effective at the end of your current paid month; you keep access to any remaining credits for that month. We will confirm your cancellation by email within one business day. If you cancel during the initial three-month term, the cancellation takes effect at the end of the third month (except for the three-day, death, disability, relocation and closure grounds in section 2.1, which take effect earlier and trigger a pro-rated refund). We do not require you to call us, visit us, wait on hold, mail a certified letter, or navigate through a chat script in order to cancel.
2.7 Refunds
Except for the statutory rights in section 2.1 and any refund we agree to at our discretion, membership fees are non-refundable once paid. Refunds under section 2.1 are paid within ten business days of the cancellation taking effect, back to the original payment method.
2.8 Freezes
You may freeze your membership once per twelve-month period for up to thirty consecutive days at no cost. Additional freezes may be granted at our discretion. During a freeze, no billing occurs and no credits accrue. Freezes must be requested through your account or by email at least twenty-four hours in advance.
2.9 Non-transferability
Memberships are personal to you. You may not transfer, resell or share your credits, and you may not let another person book or attend a class using your account. Instructors may ask for photo ID at check-in.
2.10 Payment authorisation
You authorise us and our payment processor to charge the payment method you provide, on the schedule shown at checkout, until you cancel. If a charge is declined we will retry, and we will notify you by email so you can update your payment method within seven days. If you do not update within that window your access to booking is paused; if the balance is not resolved within thirty days, we may terminate this agreement. We will not charge a card added to your account for anything other than the products you selected and any studio fees you have separately incurred and been notified of.
2.11 Chargebacks
Please contact us before disputing a charge with your card issuer. We will investigate and resolve valid issues quickly. If you dispute a charge for services you actually received without first contacting us, we may pause your account until the dispute is resolved.
2.12 Late cancel and no-show fees (members)
The credit-forfeiture rules for late cancels and no-shows are set out in the Booking, Cancellation and Studio Policies. We do not charge a separate cash fee to members for late cancels or no-shows.
2.13 Price changes
We may change the price of your plan going forward. If we do, we will give you at least thirty days' advance notice by email, and the new price will take effect from your next billing date after the notice period ends. If you do not want the new price you may cancel as in section 2.6 before it takes effect, and you will not be charged the new price.
2.14 Interruption of service
If either studio is closed for a period of more than seven consecutive days for reasons within our control (for example a renovation), we will credit affected members pro rata. If a closure is caused by circumstances outside our control (an emergency, a public health order, a landlord action, a utility failure, a weather event), we will keep members informed and, where the closure exceeds fourteen consecutive days, offer freezes or pro-rated credits at our discretion. Nothing in this paragraph limits your rights under section 2.1 if a facility permanently closes.
2.15 Injury, illness or safety
Your participation is subject to the Participation Agreement, Health Acknowledgment and Assumption of Inherent Risks. You must complete that document before your first class. Nothing in this Membership Agreement releases PSC from liability for personal injury caused by our own negligence; under New York General Obligations Law section 5-326, any such release at a gym or recreational facility is void. You do assume the ordinary and inherent risks of reformer pilates, as described in the Participation Agreement.
2.16 Changes to this agreement
We may update this agreement for reasons including changes in the services, our policies, or applicable law. If a change is not material, or does not disadvantage you, we may make it on notice. If a change is material and disadvantages you, we will give you at least thirty days' advance notice by email, and you may cancel at any time before the change takes effect without penalty.
2.17 Ending the agreement for cause
We may suspend or end your membership immediately, with a pro-rata refund of unused credits for the current month, if you materially breach these terms or the Community Conduct policy, or if your presence poses a safety risk to others. Except in cases of safety risk we will give you an opportunity to be heard.
2.18 Assignment
You may not assign this agreement. We may assign it to an affiliate or successor in connection with a corporate reorganisation or sale of the business, on notice to you.
2.19 Whole agreement, severability, no waiver
This agreement together with the linked policies is the entire agreement between you and PSC concerning your membership. If any part is held unenforceable, the rest continues in effect. Failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it.
2.20 Governing law and disputes
Governed by the laws of the State of New York. Disputes are heard in the state or federal courts in New York County, New York. Nothing in this section limits your right to bring a complaint to any government agency.
